Longitudinal axis 飛行機の前後の点を結ぶ線（NoseからTailまで） 線でも有るのですが、本当は軸と思っていて下さい。
飛行機の翼は揚力（Lift)と言う上に飛行機を引き上げる力を作る物、場所です。 この翼の形（断面）はAirfoilと言い、色々な場所に意味があり、また名前も付いています。 私が大事と思う項目は「Relative Wind」 と 「Angle of Attack」です。
